  • Day 1

    Arrival in Lima and exploring the colonial area

    After your arrival, we’ll take you to explore Lima’s historic downtown, main plaza, cathedral, and other highlights of this beautiful capital city.

  • Day 2

    On to the sacred valley of the Incas

    Discover ancient civilizations as you explore Cusco, the capital of the Incan Empire. You’ll visit San Blas market, the impressive Koricancha Temple, and finally, Saccsayhuaman Ruins before you embark on your journey to the sacred valley.

    • Sonesta Posada del Inca – Yucay

      Part of the Sonesta Posadas del Inca Yucay is a converted 300-year old Franciscan monastery. Images of the past are reflected through the resort's colonial style with courtyards, lush gardens, a private museum of Peruvian artifacts and a beautiful chapel.

  • Day 3

    Discover Incan Salt Flats and visit local weavers

    You’ll start day 3 with a visit to Chinchero, a town of Inca origin, where you will enjoy its colorful market. Then you’ll visit a workshop where Paulino and his wife show you traditional “backstrap” weaving techniques.

    Enjoy a horse paso show as you enjoy an exquisite Peruvian lunch before you head to the Maras salt pans from a pre-Incan era and the agricultural terraces of Moray.

  • Day 4

    Explore Machu Picchu

    Set out in the morning for your short train ride to the charming town of Aguas Calientes. From there, you’ll head to explore Machu Picchu’s ruins and feel its pulse as you visualize the lives of priests, craftsmen, and servants who lived in this seemingly uninhabitable citadel.

  • Day 5

    Explore Machu Picchu and hike Huayna Picchu

    Set out to hike one of the most impressive peaks, Huayna Picchu, and be rewarded by the magnificent views from above.  You’ll then explore the enormous citadel of Machu Picchu for the rest of the day.

  • Day 6

    Machu Picchu - Cusco

    Head back to Cusco in the morning in time to catch the city’s bustling artisan markets and beautiful architectural buildings.

      This is a lovely boutique hotel in the town of Cusco. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, and each room has its own WIFI. The hotel provides hot water bottles to keep your bed warm on a cool Cusco night.

  • Day 7

    On day 7 you’ll be able to wander around Cusco and discover your own favorite areas — we’ll share our favorite spots and places to eat!

  • Day 8

    ¡Adiós, Perú!
