The Bouchon family has been making wine for over 100 years, mastering their art and providing a comfortable setting for travellers exploring the nearby valleys.
If you were wondering if there are any remaining winemakers who work with their hands and horses, then you’ll find that the answer is “Yes!”. Cancino operates this tiny, hidden winery just as it was done in the old days. Worked by hand and by horse, this pesticide-free winery produces world-class wines.
With your thirst for wine whetted, it’s time to explore more of the region’s valleys and wineries. Across the street from an old (but operating) train station, you’ll encounter a family vineyard that uses traditional techniques to create world-class wines. Then you’ll head back to the estates at Bouchon Vineyards to enjoy these spectacular wines alongside a fantastic home-cooked meal.
On day 5 you’ll fly to Puerto Montt, Chile’s lake region. Take a walk around the beautiful town of Puerto Varas, which the United Nations has declared a World Heritage Site for its cultural and historical significance. Over the next few days, you’ll make your way through incredible landscapes and manicured hotels before arriving in Pucon.
