Year round, but December through March and July through August are the driest months. The main differences of note are in the highlands, where nights become chilly in areas of higher altitude. The lowlands enjoy a tropical climate year-round with little temperature variation, though more frequent rain showers will be noticeable in the wetter months of April to June and again in October and November. Today you arrive in one of the highest capital cities of the world, located amidst Andean mountains, Bogotá is situated 8,660ft above sea level. After you land, you will be transported to your hotel with your guide for check in. You will take the rest of the day to settle in and adjust to the unusual conditions.
