Starting from $5,450 per person based on four travelers
Year round, but October through May are the least coldest months of the year. Patagonia is best visited from October through March.
Your private guide and driver will take you to your hotel for an early check-in. Then, you’ll be free to explore Buenos Aires on your own as you prepare for the wonders ahead of you. As a perk, we'll give you your own handcrafted Buenos Aires Guidebook to help you find some hidden gems and city highlights.
This small boutique hotel centered in the middle of the Recoleta neighborhood is walking distance from beautiful design shops and cafes. Here you’ll be near important itinerary highlights.
It’s small and effortlessly stylish, and enjoys a prime location smack bang in the middle of Palermo Soho, with a flurry of restaurants, bars, nightlife spots and design boutiques just a stroll away. With each room’s decor inspired by an Argentine icon, there is a real sense of place here too. Plus, service is friendly and faultless. If you want to be in the thick of it, and enjoy a high-end but relaxed hotel, Legado Mitico is ideal.
On the second day, you’ll discover the parks, boutique cafes, and interesting shops that earned Buenos Aires the nickname, “the Paris of South America.”
Once you arrive in Calafate you'll be welcomed into an 8,000-person town, where raising cattle and sheep is the norm. Here you'll stand in awe of the world's most active glaciers.
When you arrive at your estancia, you will immerse yourself in the authentic day-to-day of a working ranch. Take in the fantastic views and explore hundreds of acres by horse or by foot as you prepare for the next few days of adventure by horse.
Located about 43 miles (70 kilometers) away from the main town, Nibepo is one of the few estancias of Argentina that retains its essence and is still, to this date, dedicated to raising cattle and sheep shearing. Although remote, this estancia is perfectly poised for those who want to explore Perito Moreno Glacier National Park and its hidden glaciers, as well as for those who want to simply relax and bask in the beauty and grandeur of the surrounds.
We hope you’re ready for adventure, because the next four days are action-packed. Explore remote spots and roads less traveled by horse, as you stay in remote cabins and meet local gauchos along the way.
Basic accommodations
Continue discovering hidden glaciers as you horseback ride through rocks and dusty roads.
Basic accommodations
On day 6, you will board a small boat and take off into the southern arms of Lago Argentino from Nibepo’s own private pier. As you cruise along the lake, you’ll be treated to views of a vast, open wilderness that has been untouched by human hands. Disembark for a short hike to reach a viewpoint that affords uninterrupted vistas of the colossal, blue-tinted Perito Moreno Glacier. From the lookout, you should be able to feel the cold, crisp air being released from the glacier.
Basic accommodations
Today, you will head back to the Estancia right on time for Nibepo's signature dish, roasted Lamb. You'll then head on a journey three and a half hours from Calafate, in the town of El Chalten, where you’ll find yourself in serene isolation. These pollution-free northern corners of Glaciers National Park have no efficient phone lines or internet connections, creating a magical atmosphere.
As you walk through its medieval doors, you’ll find a warm and welcoming ambience. An unpretentious luxury boutique hotel, you’ll enjoy a great spa and comfortable, spacious, and relaxing bedrooms.
Perched above a hill overlooking El Chalten, this wine-red mountain hotel built from zinc, wood, and stone offers good food, comfortable accommodations, and a wonderful spa to be able to relax after a long hiking day.
Chalten has been named “Argentina’s hiker’s paradise” for a reason. These next few days you’ll hike through challenging gravel and granite paths, with incredible, rewarding views.
Enjoying the beautiful lake scenery and landscapes, and discovering at least 5 hidden glaciers amongst these trails, you’ll be rewarded with magnificent views of Mt. Fitz Roy and Glaciar & Laguna de los tres.
On day 10 you’ll arrive at a lakeside lodge, deep in the heart of Patagonia, overlooking a hanging glacier. With the most wonderful hosts and just 6 rooms, this lodge is only accessible by boat, or a 3-hour hike. While you’re here, listen out for the sound of the glacier calving – it emits a mighty reverberating roar as a chunk of ice cracks off the edge.
Keep exploring the scenery by foot, or simply sit back and relax by the fireplace as you sip a well-deserved glass of wine. Enjoy these next few days independently and take recommendations for activities from your hosts.
